Stage 1 — 450 HP
This build is for the guys looking for a transmission that can take the heat without draining the pocket. The transmission gets disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and inspected for damage, and checked for unusual wear. It then receives new seals, bushings, thrust washers, and rings. Added clutches in overdrive brake and direct. The intermediate band is changed and upgraded with a wider Kevlar intermediate band. The valve body is modified and updated to provide a more firm shift and better overall holding power. Perfect for those running up to 400 RWHP looking for a good upgrade to a mostly stock truck. A billet single disc converter is included.

Stage 2 — 650 HP
Intended for those with bigger tunes and all supporting modifications. Extensively upgraded with many billet components. The clutch packs are upgraded with a 5-clutch forward utilizing GPZ frictions and Kolene steels (stock is 4 clutches). The apply plate and backing plate are machined to custom specifications — not available on a shelf. Direct clutch upgraded to 6 clutches (stock is 4) with a machined drum. Includes billet input, billet intermediate band, billet band anchor, billet wedge, billet oversized intermediate servo, billet accumulator, and a billet triple disc torque converter. Capable of handling over 600 RWHP. Comes with an HD SFI approved flex plate.

Utilizes all Stage 2 components and addresses the next weak link — the factory output shaft — by adding a billet output shaft. Rated conservatively for 750 RWHP and has held much more.

Stage 5 — 1300 HP
Upgraded with a Sonnax Fat Shaft 35-spline input shaft, billet stator support, and a custom Goerend converter — this unit is ready for the strip! Other upgrades include a Goerend billet extra wide intermediate band, 7-clutch overdrive brake, and a Sonnax Fat Shaft output. This unit is happy well over 1,000 RWHP. Optional billet direct drum with billet oversized piston — a must for those looking for over 1,100 RWHP and drag racing or sled pulling (+$750). Note: Fat Shaft output shaft upgrade will require changing the input shaft in 2006 and older trucks.

Stage 2 through Stage 3 require custom transmission tuning or warranty is voided.
Stage 1 — 475 HP
Completely disassembled and cleaned. All soft and worn parts are replaced. Input housing seal surfaces polished to prevent premature seal wear. All bushing surfaces polished for longevity and efficiency. Underdrive clutch: 10 high energy clutches. Overdrive clutch: 14 GPZ or G3 clutches adding 16% surface area with a custom machined backing plate. Second clutch: 3 high energy clutches and new steels. Fourth clutch: 3 high energy clutches and new steels. Valve body upgrades include a new bonded separator plate, upgraded solenoid switch valve, higher-than-stock line pressure modification, and upgraded accumulator cover plate with three additional bolts machined into the valve body. Includes OEM reman dual disc converter. Works perfectly in stock trucks and tuned towing trucks.

Second clutch: 4 G3 clutches and Lindered steels (+33% surface area). Fourth clutch: 4 G3 clutches and Lindered steels (+33% surface area). Billet low sprag upgrade to roller sprag design. Full valve body upgrades. Pump upgrades including converter limit valve and accumulator upgrade. Includes Goerend billet triple disc converter. Optional billet valve body upgrade: +$525.

Features a custom billet overdrive housing with a larger piston and custom machined backing plates for 25% additional clutch surface in underdrive and 33% gain in overdrive, plus a 16% oversize piston multiplying clamping force. Sonnax heavy duty shot-peened and cryogenically treated overdrive clutch hub. Underdrive: 12-clutch GPZ or G3 (+25% over stock). Overdrive: 16-clutch GPZ or G3 (+33%). Super Stock overdrive snap ring package (exclusive to New Limit Motorsports). Second and fourth clutches: 4-clutch G3 with Lindered steels, custom billet apply piston, and thick apply plate (+33% each). Heavy duty low sprag upgrade. Billet channel plate valve body, full valve body upgrades, pump upgrades. Includes Goerend billet triple disc 15SS or 17SS converter and billet SFI approved flexplate.

A unit with an input housing exclusive to New Limit Motorsports — tested at real-world 1,300+ HP levels. Features a billet overdrive housing with custom clutch spline, raised struts, and thicker side walls. Enough clutch surface area to equal a 21-clutch drum but with greater leverage. Billet custom New Limit designed inner drum and Sonnax outer piston. Custom New Limit floater plate, billet overdrive reaction plate, and reverse input backing plate. Billet Revmax center support with 5-clutch 4th and 5-clutch 2nd. Billet low sprag upgrade, billet input shaft, billet clutch housing retainer, thicker snap rings, and billet input clutch hub.
